LEGO 77053 Stargazing with Celeste – A Fun and Relaxing Build! 🌌✨

LEGO 77053 Stargazing with Celeste – A Fun and Relaxing Build! 🌌✨

Welcome back to Bricks and Builds with Chay! If you’ve been following along, you know that I’ve been diving into the world of LEGO Animal Crossing sets. My latest adventure? The LEGO 77053 Stargazing with Celeste set! 🌠

A Late Start and a Few Tech Hiccups 🎥🔧

Like any good livestream, things kicked off with a bit of chaos. I started later than planned because—surprise, surprise—technical difficulties struck again! Turns out, when you hook up a Nintendo Switch to a capture card, it turns off the Switch’s screen. Who knew? (Well, apparently past me knew, but present me forgot. 🤦‍♂️) So, after a bit of troubleshooting and promising to get a second display for future streams, we were ready to go!

Unboxing & First Impressions 📦🔍

I love that this set comes in a compact, sturdy box—perfect for storage. Unlike some larger sets, this one doesn’t take up much space, which is a bonus for anyone trying to keep their collection tidy.

The minifig Celeste looks absolutely adorable, and the set’s stargazing theme is a perfect nod to her in-game role as the queen of shooting star wishes. 🌟 However, right off the bat, I felt like something was missing. Maybe a little more detail? Maybe an extra minifig? More on that later...

The Build Process – Quick, Fun, and (Mostly) Smooth! 🏗️🎉

I set a goal to complete this build in under an hour, and guess what? Mission accomplished! While I wasn’t going for a speed build, I had things to do later, so I wanted to keep the pace up.

That said, I hit one major nemesis: tiny LEGO books! 📖 If you’ve ever built a set with a book element, you know the struggle—they never want to stay open! It took a bit of patience (and maybe a little muttering under my breath), but I got it sorted in the end.

Things I Loved vs. Things I Wish Were Better 🤔

Loved:

Relaxing, fun build – Perfect for a casual LEGO session. ✔ Celeste minifig is spot-on – The details on her are just chef’s kiss 👌. ✔ Cute accessories – The telescope, stars, and picnic setting add a nice touch.

Could Be Better:

Too small? – I love compact builds, but I wish there was just a bit more to this one. ❌ Where’s her brother?! – A second minifig, like Blathers, would have made this set even better. ❌ Why is Mabel missing from the Able Sisters set?! – Okay, this isn’t about this set, but I’m still salty about it. 😂

LEGO Animal Crossing Wishlist – What’s Next? 🔮

I already own the Leaf Caravan and now the Stargazing set, but I’ve got my eye on a few others:

  • Nook’s Cranny 🏪
  • Dodo Airlines ✈️
  • KK’s Caravan 🎸

They’re not exactly cheap, so I’ll have to pace myself, but one day I’d love to complete the collection.

Final Verdict: A Great Addition to Any Animal Crossing LEGO Collection! 🌟

Despite its size, I really enjoyed this build. It’s a quick, charming set that captures the magic of Celeste and her love for the stars. While I would have liked a little more detail, I’d still highly recommend it to LEGO and Animal Crossing fans alike.

The full build was under 30 min so I just posted the full unedited stream!

What do you think? Have you built this set? Do you think LEGO should add more to the Animal Crossing lineup? Let’s chat in the comments!

🚀 Until next time, happy building!
